Every day, we explore ways to reduce our environmental impact, so that current and future generations can thrive. So we can leave our business and our planet in a better state than we found them. Our ambitious ACT2 program addresses sustainability under 3 core themes.

CIRCULAR INNOVATION
Every de Jong DUKE machine is built to last a long time and is highly energy efficient. Our modular designs enable easy part replacement, repair, and refurbishment. We use recycled materials whenever possible. We even provide eco-friendly, biodegradable cleaning tablets for all our machines.
SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT
Our coffee and espresso machine are manufactured using hundreds of parts. To ensure a long lifespan for those parts, we source and manufacture components which meet our strict quality requirements, national and international laws, regulations, and standards.
Every year, we review our key suppliers to ensure continuous improvement. We expect our suppliers to apply the principles of a circular economy and uphold fair work practices.
Sustainable initiatives
Our commitment to sustainability has earned us an EcoVadis Gold Medal. This is recognition of our efforts in the areas of environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
Our coffee and espresso machines have an ‘A’ label or higher, according to the European Vending Association (EVA) guidelines.
Machines using our ConnectMe platform can realize up to 30% additional energy savings through its adaptive energy-saving mode. ConnectMe also enables remote service, saving on service calls.
We contribute to reforestation through One Tree Planted. New trees are planted in Peru on our behalf to combat climate change, restore biodiversity, and support local communities.
